Delivery Policy
SendFast operates a multi-modal logistics network. This policy outlines the delivery timeframes, customs responsibilities, and operational procedures for our different routing options.
Last Updated: October 24, 2024
1. General Delivery Terms
All delivery timeframes provided on the SendFast platform are estimates. While our live-tracking and verified networks operate with high efficiency, factors beyond our control (weather, traffic, port congestion, airline delays) may impact final delivery times. Escrow funds are only released upon mutually confirmed delivery.
2. Local Delivery (Nigeria & Ghana)
Our local delivery network connects you with verified dispatch riders and drivers within city limits and intra-state routes.
- Same-Day Dispatch: Available for intra-city requests made before 2:00 PM local time.
- Next-Day Delivery: Standard for late-afternoon bookings or specific cross-city zones.
- Live Tracking: Real-time GPS tracking is active from the moment the courier accepts the package until drop-off.
3. Peer-to-Peer (P2P) International Flights
This service relies on verified travelers moving between international airports. Timeframes are strictly bound by the Traveler's flight itinerary.
Flight Delays & Airline Loss
SendFast is not liable for delays caused by airline rescheduling, cancellations, or baggage mishandling. In the rare event an airline loses a Traveler's luggage containing a SendFast item, the Escrow dispute process will be triggered, and airline compensation protocols will apply.
4. China International Shipments
For commercial or bulk imports from China to Nigeria, Ghana, the UK, or the US, SendFast utilizes established freight forwarding routes.
- Air Freight (Express)Typically 5 to 10 business days from the date of departure from the Chinese consolidation warehouse. Subject to cargo flight availability.
- Sea Freight (Economy)Typically 30 to 60 days depending on the destination port (e.g., Lagos, Tema, London, or Los Angeles) and current maritime conditions.
5. Customs, Duties & Taxes
Unless explicitly stated as DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) during the booking process, all international shipments (P2P and China Freight) are subject to destination customs inspections.
The Receiver/Senderis solely responsible for paying any applicable import duties, VAT, or tariffs required by the destination country's government. SendFast and its couriers are not responsible for packages held by customs due to unpaid duties or prohibited items.
6. Failed Delivery Attempts
For local deliveries, couriers will make a minimum of two (2) attempts to deliver the package. If the receiver is unreachable or refuses the package:
- The package will be returned to the Sender.
- The Sender remains liable for the delivery fee (Escrow will be released to the courier for their labor).
- For international freight, uncollected items at local hubs may accrue storage fees after 7 days and may eventually be abandoned or auctioned as per local law.
